What it is

Office Dog runs an automatic text-back service for small businesses. Call one of them, and if nobody can pick up, the business texts you to say your call was missed and that someone will get back to you. The message names the business at the very start, so you always know who is texting.

Who it comes from, and why you got it

The text comes from the business you called. Office Dog operates the system on that business's behalf and never texts you about a business you have not contacted. Your call is what starts the conversation, and the reply goes only to the number you called from. There is no list to join and no sign-up form.

How many messages

One reply per missed call, plus anything that follows if you keep the conversation going. There are no scheduled or promotional sends.

Stopping messages

Reply STOP to opt out. You get one confirmation and then nothing further from that business through this service. Reply HELP for help, or email will@myofficedog.com.

Opting out stops the texts. The business can still return your call by phone.

Costs and delivery

Message and data rates may apply. Neither Office Dog nor the business charges you for these messages. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
